G4S supports the financial and retail customers with secure physical movement of cash, whether in note or coin form, by armored vehicles on behalf of financial and retail customers.

Globally, consumers continue to choose cash over any other method of payment and the Group will transport more than £300 billion in cash and process cash worth more than £25 billion each year in the UK alone. In Kenya, G4S manages over 5 million cash in transit runs in a year.

Most cash transportation takes place between cash centres (where cash is stored and processed) and customer outlets such as bank branches and retail stores.

G4S has developed innovative information systems which allow efficient planning of routes and services to track the movement of cash and valuables throughout the network.
