6/7/2011 - Leading Risk Management and Security Solutions Provider G4S Kenya Limited has launched state of the art fire alarm and detection system to provide an early warning incase of fire outbreak to enhance evacuation and remedial action to mitigate against fire spread.
While launching the system G4S Regional Managing Director Mr. Adam Miller said the industry faces a lot challenges due to lack of unsupported fire detection and alarm systems and inadequate technical skills which results to massive loss of property and lives.
Miller also cited inappropriate commissioned systems and insufficient monitoring as well as untimely responses as major causes of fire that causes enormous damages to businesses in the region.
“We are providing an integrated technology solution – an entire suite that comprises of installation and maintenance of the fire alarm and detection equipment that will link monitoring capability via a control room and response capability through fire and rescue services to address the issue”, he said.
