G4S Match It Add this

As a multinational organisation with more than 635,000 employees, G4S has the potential to create a real impact on a global scale.

We strive to be a good corporate citizen in the communities in which we operate and all our employees are encouraged to play an active role in supporting charitable and community projects in their local area.

The G4S Match It programme helps our employees, and the worthy causes they support, by offering to ‘double their money’ through matched funds.

In 2011, the Kenya media owners in partnership with private sector launched an initiative dubbed ‘Kenyans for Kenya’. This project aimed to salvage the unfortunate situation mainly in the North and North Eastern parts of Kenya which were being ravaged by famine.

This initiative came about as a result of some Kenyans dying of hunger. G4S Kenya staff raised money and through the internal Match-it Program; in total, G4S Kenya donated a total of Ksh. 1,000,000 towards the relief kitty.

The drive involved all the 15,000 employees countrywide who donated in relation to their bands from as low as Ksh.10 to as much as Kshs. 5,000. The response was overwhelming.
