G4S appoints new Regional President for Africa

G4S, the leading international secure solutions company, has today appointed Andy Baker as the Regional President for G4S Africa.
Andy will join the company on 23 January and will take over from Ian Nisbet, the current Regional President, following a structured induction and transition period.
Andy has wide ranging experience of managing and building sustainable businesses across Africa. He joins G4S from Nashua Group, the second largest ICT business in South Africa, where he was the Chief Executive Officer. Andy moved from the UK to South Africa in 1989, working for Laser Transport SA. In 1993 Andy joined DHL as an Area Director for Southern Africa, becoming Managing Director of DHL Southern Africa in 2000 and Managing Director of DHL Turkey in 2005.
In 2006 he joined Altech Netstar as the Managing Director before becoming the Group Chief Operating Officer in 2007 of Altech Group, where he remained until 2010.
